How long does an epoxy floor take to install?

Most residential garage or basement floors take 1–2 days to install, but the floor needs to cure before use. You can typically walk on it after 24 hours, and it's ready for vehicles or heavy items after about 5–7 days. Curing times vary with temperature and humidity, so we'll give you a specific timeline for your project.

How long will my epoxy floor last?

With proper installation and basic care, a professionally applied epoxy floor lasts 10–20 years or more. Longevity depends on the surface prep, the product system used, and how much traffic and wear the floor sees. Commercial and industrial floors may need a recoat sooner due to heavier use.

How do I clean and maintain an epoxy floor?

Epoxy is low-maintenance. Sweep or dust mop regularly to keep grit off the surface, and clean spills as they happen. For deeper cleaning, use a soft mop with warm water and a mild, pH-neutral cleaner, avoid harsh acids or abrasive pads that can dull the finish. No waxing required.

Can epoxy be applied over my existing concrete?

In most cases, yes. Epoxy bonds best to clean, sound concrete that's been properly prepared by grinding or shot-blasting. We'll inspect for cracks, moisture issues, or prior coatings first, since these need to be addressed before application to ensure a strong, lasting bond.
